The exhibition ‘Connecting Elements - The Nobel Prize in Chemistry’ familiarises young people with the Nobel laureates in chemistry and their groundbreaking discoveries in establishing the foundations of this science. Following last year's exhibition “Understanding Matter - The Nobel Prize in Physics”, the aim is to evoke the spirit of research and exploration in natural sciences and the spectacular findings that lead to the Nobel Prize. The exhibition is bilingual (English and Arabic) and is built for the purpose of traveling to different destinations in the Middle East. In collaboration with Atelier Brückner, YOKE developed five interactive experiences.
When entering the exhibition, the visitor is given a stamp card that accompanies them on their journey throughout the exhibition. Around the exhibition, the visitor is encouraged to collect each of five different stamps, which together form a molecule on the card. The molecule redeems a personal Nobel Prize diploma, when the molecule is scanned at the ‘My Prize’ photo station, and the visitor has their photo taken in front of a green screen. The visitor has the option to send the diploma by e-mail to have both a physical and digital souvenir to remember the exhibition by.
