This question is central to the temporary exhibition "Against All Odds - Historical Women and New Algorithms" at the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK). Featuring works by 24 Nordic female artists who achieved remarkable success between 1870 and 1910 but were later almost forgotten, the exhibition delves into themes of historical representation and the mechanisms of memory and erasure. It also explores whether modern technology can offer new ways to reinterpret and present historical narratives.

Yoke has developed the exhibition design to create a dialogue between historical art and contemporary digital innovations. Ix Shells contributes with the immersive installation Interlinked and visitors also meet the sculptor Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen as a chatbot. For the chatbot we have created the visual digital representation, the user interface and the sound design. The chatbot is developed in collaboration with DTU - The Technical University of Denmark - and digital curator Majken Overgaard.
