The Brønshøj Water Tower was built in 1928 and designed by architect Ib Lunding. Today the water tower stands as a massive landmark for the district of Brønshøj, Copenhagen. For several years the building remained unused. In 2015 the tower was bought by the Copenhagen Citizens' Representation. Future plans include turing it into a public space for cultural activities
By simply entering the website www.højlys.dk from a web browser or a smartphone the user can instantly control the light. Here the user can choose which window to light up and the pace of the light traveling around the water tower.
When the light passes a chosen window it will light up and voices of the tower will appear. Multiple users can use the system simultaneously creating a play with light and sound. The light is on as long as there are users on the website.
