Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the rich history and craftsmanship behind these exquisite creations as they embark on a journey through time.

Founded in 1965 by the visionary Jørgen Christian Hempel, the museum proudly houses Northern Europe's most extensive private collection of glass from the 15th to 19th centuries. The museum's captivating history and inspiring vision are elegantly unfolded in the redesigned exhibition space.

Visitors are invited on a captivating journey through eight different time periods. They'll get to see a wide variety of glass objects, ranging from everyday items to beautiful works of art.

At the heart of the exhibition, Yoke has created two artistic installations that breathe life into the story of the museum's creation and the intricate process of glass craft.

On an impressive 2 x 4 meter specially designed wooden panel, the history of Hempel and the museum is unfolded in a simple animated style. In the second installation, Yoke portrays the impressive transformation of raw materials such as sand and ash into shimmering glass products across eight interconnected screens. In addition to creating the scenography and the animations, Yoke has also created a lighting design that enhances the storytelling and engages visitors with the fascinating glass-making process.

The exhibition is designed in close collaboration with Atelier Brückner and Vigsø.

Location: Nykøbing Sjælland, Denmark
