One of the earth's most fascinating places is concealed just beneath the surface of the ocean: the coral reef, with its incredible shapes and colours, sparks amazement at the wondrous life that lives in the ocean. Sadly, the future for coral looks bleak, and it is now up to us humans to help preserve them - fortunately, it is not too late.

In close collaboration with the National Aquarium Denmark, Yoke has created a special exhibition about coral reefs and how to preserve them. The exhibition was designed to support the playful experience of being underwater. Through games, infographics and illustrations, the exhibition explains how rich in different species this universe is, from microorganisms to fish and mammals.

The scenography consists of oversized, colourful coral sculptures with caves that allow kids to play around and hide inside, imitating the behaviour of fish living in the reef. One installation, "The Dead Coral," is a large "bleached" coral sculpture that visitors can bring back to vibrant life by pledging to minimise their own environmental impact. Visitors are presented with various options for how to do so, and when an option is picked, the pale sculpture is digitally painted with bright colours, reviving it. The installation also has a digital infographic tracking how many visitors have committed to a more sustainable living that can contribute to saving the coral reefs.
